Market Gateway was founded by Thapelo Khubayi — a developer and entrepreneur from Limpopo who took an untraditional path into the markets. Before trading, he spent years building digital solutions through his company AlgoDev Studio, developing the systems-thinking, testing discipline, and problem-solving instincts that would later shape his approach to trading.
Unlike many who enter the markets chasing quick profits, Thapelo approached trading as a skill to be developed over time. And along the way he noticed something missing in the South African trading space: authentic stories. Behind every successful trader is a journey of obstacles overcome — but the loudest voices online were selling lifestyles, not sharing lessons.
So Market Gateway was built around a simple idea: every trader has something valuable to teach.
